We Built the Toy We Couldn't Find
NYXPAW started with one frustrated cat parent, one bored indoor cat, and a simple question: why doesn't any toy actually work when you're not holding it?
It Started With Luna
Our founder adopted Luna, a 2-year-old tabby, in 2022. Like most indoor cats, Luna was full of energy with nowhere to put it. Wand toys required constant attention. Automated toys were either too loud, too predictable, or fell apart within a week.
After months of searching and finding nothing that truly worked, the idea for NYXPAW was born: a clamp-on toy that could mimic real prey movement, stay quiet enough for apartments, and be built to actually last.
Two Years of Testing & Refining
We didn't rush. We spent over two years testing with real cats — different ages, different breeds, different energy levels. We went through dozens of motor designs, string lengths, and feather ball configurations before we found the combination that kept cats engaged session after session.
Every detail matters to us: the near-silent motor so it works while you sleep, the clamp design that attaches anywhere without damage, the USB power so you never need batteries, and the replaceable balls so the toy lasts for years.
Our Mission
Indoor cats deserve more than a quiet apartment and a food bowl. They're natural hunters — curious, energetic, and built to stalk and pounce. NYXPAW exists to give every indoor cat the stimulation they need to thrive, even when their humans are busy, sleeping, or just not in the mood to play.
We're a small team of cat lovers, and every product we make is tested by our own cats first. If Luna doesn't approve, it doesn't ship.
